Concert #2~a no go

First of all, this is my nephew.  He goes to Amy’s daycare now and apparently he doesn’t enjoy visiting Santa!   I am sorry for sharing this, but it made me laugh.  Sure, I laugh at childhood trauma.  Because the stuff is funny!

I forgot to save these in here, but last week, Evelyn won an award for being the most inclusive kid in her class.   I love this!   She’s such a good kid.  I’m very proud!
Thanks to aunt Mal for capturing the moment.

Mallory is enjoying traveling around touring the schools of other people who were Kansas teacher of the year nominees.  This week- Fort Scott.  She is learning a lot!

Sometimes in the middle of the week, life happens.  Evelyn was supposed to have her kindergarten music program Wednesday night.  She threw up.  No going to a music program for her or for us.  Cause she’s the only kindergartener I would want to go see!
I felt bad for her. She really didn’t feel good.  But I blame the Thanksgiving holiday and all the school stuff for the reason everyone is sick. Spread the germs.  Spread them.  Pack 105772 people into a gym a week after everyone traveled all around and saw family that was carrying germs in from everywhere.  Talk about germs.  Of course, I’ve always been a little on the germ-o-phobic side.  The pandemic cemented it for me.  Needless to say, I am sorry Evie got sick.  And I’m sorry she had to miss her program.  I am not actually sorry about not sitting in an auditorium full of the same kind of people I sat around at the band concert.  (The kind that cough and cough and sneeze and snot and blow their nose 12 times per song- the ones who clearly should have stayed home).  Or maybe they all have allergies and emphysema. Who knows.  But if I get sick…..

Sick Evelyn means staying home for the bus riding girl.   She is such a hoot.  Hiding out in the toys, torturing the cat. And at one point, sneaking out the dog door to go swing even though she wasn’t wearing any clothes- and it was cold outside!   She’s not bothered though.

All the while miss thing was miserable.  Poor girl.  I heard she’s doing much better today!  Fingers crossed nobody else catches it.  Madison said she’s been sanitizing everything.

Headed into the weekend always feels good.  Lots of plans for getting things accomplished, resting up for another crazy week, and hoping to catch up with a birthday boy since I forgot to put anything into the mail for him.  I’m happy Friday arrived!
