Sneak Preview

Mallory and Madison had their senior photos taken last weekend.  They turned out so, so good!  I don't have any idea how in the world I am going to pick out which ones to have printed?!?!  Here are a few of the ones that they had done together.

 I absolutely love these photos!
Thank you Julie - you are amazing!

Alumni Band Night (aka more Homecoming)

Last night at Homecoming, the band held its first annual "Alumni Band Night" where they asked all the former band members to come back and take the field during halftime.  They could play with the band if they wanted to, or they could just stand with the band members while they played the fight song.  Grandma Nancy was in the band about 40 some years ago, and she did stand with the girls even though she refused to break out her sax!  It was still pretty cool to have her there!  (It may have helped that they gave them all a free shirt!)

Cam tried to be the most spirit filled SFT fan.  I sure didn't see anyone else who went to this much trouble.  If there was an award, I would have voted for him.  :)

SFT Homecoming

The little girls were super excited about ANOTHER parade.  I have come to the conclusion that we live in a parade happy county!

No matter which side of the street I stand on, the kids are on the opposite side!  I tried is all I can say!

Harper gave the Thundertaker a high five.....Saige did NOT!!

Saige did eat herself silly though!  It seemed that she knew a lot of the people involved in the candy throwing!
Colin's high school football team - he is on here - on the opposite side of where we were standing!
Lets Go Chargers!

Sunset Stroll

Last evening was the annual Sunset Stroll.  It is a community event which is sort of a scaled back version of Relay for Life.  When I say scaled back, I just mean that it doesn't go on all night - not that there weren't plenty of participants.  This is a cancer awareness event.  Last night's theme was "no one fights alone" which I really like.
Mallory was really proud of her sister because for the past couple of years, during the balloon launch, Harper refused to let her balloon go.  This year she participated!  Progress!

It is a fun event, and the 4-H club was in charge of kid games.  As you can see, the 4-Hers in this family like to give the games a warm up, and make sure the prizes are good.  They are super diligent like that!

This was Quincy's first official job as a 4-Her.  She was in charge of pick up ducks.  She might not have understood completely, or is just soft-hearted, as I overheard her telling the kids which duck to pick for the prize!

The blue sucker mustache was just not enough!

Football photos by Preston

Colin's JV team had a game tonight against Perry Lecompton.  Quincy thinks that is hilarious and kept repeating "Perry LEE Compton"  Ha ha ha!
Preston wanted to be the photographer tonight.  Colin plays on offense, Preston kept running down when the team was on defense.  That's ok!

#53 (Colin) had a great game tonight.  His team won!

Mad dash Saturday

Here are some very dark photos of Mallory with her new car.  She is pretty excited about it and has named the car "Jade" it is hard to tell in these photos, but the car is dark green.
The girls were already used to posing, since they spent the afternoon getting their senior photos taken today.  I can't wait to see how they turned out, but I am confident they are beautiful.....our friend Julie does awesome photos!
Quincy had her first soccer game this morning.  She was so excited.  I wish I could have gone to see her, but I was parking cars with Colin in Ottawa at a car show.  Her team won, and Jim said she played really well.  She does love soccer!

Quincy is number 38.  Jim is calling her 38 Special, and then had to explain that to the kids.  I don't think they liked the music he played for them as much as he thought they would!
Cam took photos for me....I really love this picture of Jim and Saige.  It seems like I take tons of photos, but rarely with Jim in them!
After soccer, Jim took the little kids to Santa Fe Trail day.  They had so much fun, and when I got home Saige kept telling me "a horse, a horse"  I think the petting zoo was a huge hit, as well as the wagon rides.

Unless you ask Preston, he loved digging in the straw for quarters!

Colin and I had an interesting time parking cars, as usual.  People watching at its finest.  I saw several for the record books.  Some think that I will move if they drive at me.  They would be wrong.  LOL!  We have to go back for a few hours tomorrow to park cars again.  I would happily do any fundraiser where we don't have to go door to door selling things!  This is mind numbingly easy, extremely profitable, and well worth every minute of torture from the public!
