Lotsa basketball

In the past 24 hours we have had 4 basketball games.  Last night, Cameron's freshman team played Osage City.  They won!  While they were playing, Jim went to Preston's game in Topeka.  They did not win and Preston was upset with his own performance.  It is funny to me how these boys can recall every single play, who made the play, what the ref's call was and who had what as far as points, fouls, rebounds and steals.  It is not a club I can get into!  I watch the game but may be known for talking more than actual detail remembering!
Today, Colin wrestled at Baldwin.  He had a real tough day on the mats and was done early.   Jim went to cheer him on.  While they were doing the wrestling thing, I took Quincy to her game in Carbondale.   She is #2 on the green team.  She played really well and even had a couple of steals.
After Quincy's game, we trekked back to Topeka for Preston to play another game.    Preston is #7 on the blue team.  He was happier with himself today!  He did great!

Sorry but.....

Mike Beckman did it again.  I love these photos!  These are of Colin's 2 matches from last night.  He just does a good job of catching Colin's intensity and facial expressions.  I really need to buy a better camera!  :)

Chicken winging people was Colin's move of last night!  It worked for him!

2 pin night

Colin's wrestling team had their senior night at the trail.  It was a fun night.  The thing about wrestling, it gives you plenty of opportunity to sit and visit with the other wrestlers and their parents.  This tends to lead to feelings of them being part of a big old family.  I really like a couple of the boys that are seniors this year and their parents.  I am proud of them and a little sad that they will be leaving us!
My sadness was short lived though because my kid wrestled awesomely tonight!  He pinned both of his opponents and his team beat both Osawatomie and Bonner in their duals.

A little Tuesday action

The girls and the goats have been especially thankful for the extreme nice weather!   The little girls and I ran a ton of errands today, got Harper's kindergarten shots, got her glasses fixed, and bought groceries.  The goats really wanted to help us unload the car!
After all of the running, we went to watch the freshman basketball game.  The freshman team didn't win, but they tried hard.
While we were at the game, Harper informed me her tooth was loose.  Apparently, it was very loose because when we got home Quincy helped her pull it! She was rather pleased with herself!

Weekends were made for this

Colin's team wrestled a super dual at Council Grove yesterday.  They had a really great day, winning every round except the last one.  They lost the final round to Wichita South.  They got second place and wrestled a lot of much bigger schools. It was great to see them do so well!  It was a fun day!
All these photos were taken by Mike Beckman....they obviously are much better than any I took!   I sincerely appreciate him taking the photos!

Game time

Preston had a game this week.  His team won!  They looked really good....and they are slowly learning to play together as a team.
I did kind of giggle when at the last minute Colin decided to go with us, Preston told him it wouldn't be as high scoring as a KSU game, but it would be just as exciting.
I came home from work one day this week to find Madison in the yard giving slices of sweet potato to the goats.  And she thinks I have a problem!
Mallory's roommate got a therapy dog.  He is really cute.  I don't know how it will end up working out but Mallory says he isn't as loud as goats knocking on the door and begging for food!
Since Mallory went back to college, the rest of us have had a chance to hold Johnny!  She has already called dibs for the weekend though!
