It is April, which is so, so good!

Mallory has decided to major in education next year, and as such, also decided that the best place for her to go to school would be Emporia State.  We toured the campus, met her academic advisor, toured the dorms, learned about meal plans, and spent the day with other kids who are planning to come to school there next fall.  Overall, we were very happy with what we saw, and she left excited about going to school, which is half of the key to success if you ask me - the desire to be there!  I am relieved because it is not very far away, so visiting will be easy, and Harper is most impressed with the 'giant bees' that are everywhere!  We explained several times that it is a Hornet, but all she sees are the wings and the stinger!  Its all the same to her!  She was equally impressed with the candy selection in the Union Bookstore!
I am impressed with how both Mallory and Madison have put thought, time, and investigative work into their college decisions.  They are going to be very successful I am sure!
We have been very busy doing all sorts of stuff.  Mostly packing, loan woes and paperwork, and more paperwork.  I am super happy that April is here, and hoping that soon all of the real estate transactions will be a thing of our past.  I used to daydream about how fun a career in real estate would be.  I was so very, very wrong!  We have been 'selectively packing' and have put quite a lot of our stuff in storage for a couple of weeks.  It has been hard to weed through what is necessary verses what is only long term needed.  The kids have been a great help!  We are in the middle of switching loan types, and it has been a little bit of a challenge, but if all the pieces fall into place, I think the switch will be a very positive thing.  We are praying and hoping and crossing our fingers and toes that we can get this all done!  I am sure that it will all be fine, God is at work for us.

The warmer temperatures have been a welcome relief for both moving purposes, as well as for wearing out children who need to run off excess energy!  Oh, how I wish I possessed excess energy!  :)

We got back some of the results from Preston's tests at the doctor, and it indicates that he may be having pain due to kidney stones.  We are following up with more tests and some scans to see for sure what is going on.  Right now, he is not in any pain, and we are waiting for the approval from the insurance for the tests that our doctor has ordered.  I am praying that he won't be in any more pain, and that he doesn't have any more trouble with this in his lifetime.

The upcoming week looks a bit on the busy side, but it is a good busy, and as always, I am grateful for the life I have been given!
