I took this photo of Harper and Saige a couple of weeks ago. I love how Harper watches out for her baby sister
Today Saige wasn't feeling well. She had a low fever and spent most of the afternoon either fussing or sleeping. By this evening, she is still a bit of a grouch but at least she is upright. Motrin is a miracle maker!
We don't need a weed wacker because we have these awesome weed eaters! I wish I could trust them to stay out of my garden because I would love to let them mow the entire yard! Instead they have to be staked out strategically! The kids have been doing a good job of working with them and they are very tame! They also do a good job of taking turns checking on them and bringing them water while they are staked out.
The kids and I planted several types of bushes this week, some of which were a gift to Jim from a man in the city. If we can keep the goats away, we hope to someday be eating raspberries, blackberries and pink lemonade blueberries. While some may think of this as healthy eating, my children were dreaming up how many flavors of ice cream toppings we can make! I figure if it motivates them to get the work done, there is no harm in working for ice cream!
Harper had a t ball game yesterday morning. I love this photo of her going to the game with her 'coach'!
I am always amazed by how weird Adolf is. The cat truly puts up with torture from his friends, and never skips an opportunity to take a ride in a laundry basket!
That's about all I know for this weekend, except that once again days off have gone by too quickly!
