Rather than raising hogs this year, the kids decided to try out the meat goat project. Mallory and Madison did not want to do either one. Today we bought 4 baby Boer goats. So far, when unloading them one escaped, one climbed on the feed bunk and jumped the fence, and all of them have shown off their rock climbing abilities. After a few lessons (the hard way) in how to carry them, and a few tweeks we made to the pen, they seem to be settling in nicely. And I believe Ryan MOOler is happy to have some company!
