It went by too fast! As usual! We still have one more day, but it is already packed full of stuff and there is no more time for relaxing, visiting, and enjoying down time! Back to the grind we go!
It was fun while it lasted! We truly loved having the kids all home. Saige misses Colin! He was barely in the door when she demanded that he read to her. I believe he misses her too, although he would never admit it! Colin had to head back this afternoon for weigh in and practice. He said it was crazy how fast this semester is flying by!
We still have not heard back from the insurance adjuster. It has been very hard on Mallory, who just wants an answer on if they are going to fix it, or if we need to go car shopping. She got her ability to wait from her mom! It really is dumb that it takes so long, the moral of the story seems to be "don't wreck your car during the holidays?" Cameron tried to make her feel better by fixing her hair. It was a nice gesture, but it didn't actually work!
We finally found a way to utilize these girls' energy in a way that benefits us! They did a great job working on everyone's feet, and used enough lotion to keep us soft until spring! I have said before, and will say again that I love how close they are. They never seem to have any drama and entertain each other without fighting. They are pretty good about including the little sisters too!
Slice is the neediest cat I have ever seen. He can always be found laying on someone. Usually the lap isn't good enough. He has to be in your hair, or near your face. He loves everyone's attention, but Harper seems to put up with his craziness the most! It's good to have a cat for your bff!
The 4-H club is helping out with the Salvation Army's red kettle campaign. The kids were really excited to help. I am pleased that they are keeping the money raised local. It is a great way to help those less fortunate.
Cameron's basketball team had an exhibition game against the alumni. Cameron played hard! The game was a lot of fun to watch!
The girls were squealy excited to get a package in the mail! Thanks Aunt Pam!
I have completely enjoyed every minute of this break.
