Yea for Sunday

I guess they have horse races in Eureka Kansas currently. I think it’s a fall thing - that happens for a few limited weeks.  My parents decided to go down and check it out.  That meant they needed a puppy sitter.  Mallory volunteered.  She brought Rosie to Sunday lunch.  We had lunch instead of dinner because Colin and Spencer were coming through on their way home from the lineman rodeo.
Bonus day - all the grandkids here and a puppy!?!    It’s hard to beat a day like that.

I think it’s safe to say we all love Rosie.  She’s very sweet.

We got the girls some safety vests and hard hats yesterday.  They were excited about it - Evelyn said “hey- I could have used this during safety day in spirit week!”   Next time.

Easton was happy to see us. Or at least he smiled and laughed a lot. He also likes potato soup a whole lot - or maybe just potatoes.  He is a sweet boy.  We love these grandkids of ours!

We wore out both Easton and Rosie. Easton left so he could sleep on the way home and Rosie went to play at Mallory’s house.  Maude liked her a little bit too much.
We got a few things done around the house this afternoon.  Jim got the mower going again so I used the rest of the gas to start what we hope will be the last mowing of the season.   We will need to get more gas and pick up a few branches that have fallen in last weeks storms before I can finish it.

Tatum sent this photo - she’s watching Cameron play some slow pitch. I hope he behaves himself.
Tomorrow is Preston’s 22nd birthday. I was thinking about how hard of a time we had deciding on a name for him and how perfect the fall was when he was born.  It sure doesn’t seem like it has been 22 years. Time needs to slow down.
Now I’m off to finish laundry so we have clothes to wear on all the adventures of this upcoming week.  I love Sunday but I hate to see the weekend leave.  Like every single week.
