Birthday fun

When it was Quincy’s birthday a couple weeks ago, her bff was in Texas on vacation.  She wanted to wait, take Landrie to the Douglas county fair, and have a camp out and fire.  She is so easy to please!  We all enjoyed watching the cousins show their calves!

I love this picture of my nephew showing his (champion) shorthorn calf!  So much concentration going on!  The kids all did great!

Harper loves to take pictures.  She took this one.  It wasn’t a calf of anyone we knew, but I like it all the same!

After the beef show, I offered to take the kids out for lunch.  I was willing to go about anywhere....but Saige was pretty adamant we were eating at McDonald’s!  She was also insistent that we sit at the round table....but she lost that battle and ended up sitting there all alone!   The elderly lady working did not seem to understand why she was alone - explaining numerous times didn’t help!  I’m not sure who was the bullheaded one in this scenario.

It was sort of windy this afternoon.  We decided the cooking out would probably be safest in the grill.  The girls didn’t seem to mind!  They are now all tucked in the tent....happily giggling and exchanging crazy stories.  It’s good to have a bff!
