More 1st day photos.... and more bonus pics!

Harper's first day of school - sophomore year!

In the mornings, I get up early, get myself ready to go, and then wake the girls up and help them with outside chores before leaving on the bus.  They get themselves ready for school, and then Jim gets them to the bus stop, where I pick them up and drive them to school.  Which means that when I left this morning, Harper was still in her chore clothes (sometimes called pajamas).  I asked Saige if she would take some first day photos of Harper for me when she was dressed and ready to go.  I don't know if this is Harper indulging mom, or Harper wanting to choke out Saige, but we are going with it, because it is what I have.

Harper is a kid who doesn't say a lot, but she sees everything.  She is a great observer of the world around her.  I love to listen to her tell what is happening, she knows things!  And she is hilarious in her assertation of the world.  I hope she has a great first day, and an amazing year!

Saige apparently decided she also needed second day of 8th grade photos?  I'll take it!  She is usually not overly excited by my "need" to photograph everything.  Yes, I am a lot I guess - but seriously, someone has to document their childhood.  The small things usually end up being the best memories, and the biggest part of who you are when you grow up.  I am going to keep on doing it, and someday, maybe they will see I was right.  Maybe.

Cameron and Mallory attended a concert last night.  I don't know what concert, but Cameron's bank is a sponsor of some sort, so he can sit on the patio, get free food and drinks and take a guest.  I guess I will need to ask more questions, but they did send me a photo of them together!  I am glad they love each other enough to be friends as adults!

My morning view - not everything about going back to school is bad!  My desire to keep my windshield clean is more difficult when the mornings are so foggy though!  I think I even picked up ALL the kids today!  Second day for the win!

Cameron told me that since he was wearing his fancy new shirt, he decided he should have some action shots taken.  Must have been a slow day at the bank?

Bus para crash out!  I feel this photo in my soul!  Madison is doing a different route this year, and as such, I won't get to see them in the afternoons like we did sometimes last year.  I am sad about it - I need more Wrenley time!  She is such a funny kid.

Weekend is here - it is welcomed with open arms and a deep-seated exhaustion that comes from a long week, with schedule upheaval, unnecessary drama at my day job, more stuff to do in the evenings due to lack of time in the afternoons now, and welp, just life I guess.  Today, I am thankful that I quit working at the liquor store, and that, with the exception of one meeting, we have a weekend with little to nothing going on.  I intend to get caught up - whether that means caught up at the house or caught up on sleep remains to be seen!  Happy weekend!
