We just got home from the best weekend we have had in a long time.
My Colin married his best girl.
It was a beautiful wedding and a fun reception A weekend filled with family, love, joining of families, eating, drinking, dancing and fun.
Mallory
Preston
And Cameron were attendants in the wedding.
There is so much that I will always love about weddings.
And I REALLY love weddings. Taking a chance in blind faith on love.
Joining lives together.
The promise of a lifetime of happiness together.
The belief that your life will be better if you commit to a person to share it with.
And these two seem to be a great compliment to each other. He likes danger. She likes safety. He likes power tools, she likes remodeling projects. He likes his job and likes to work a lot of weird pick up shifts. She is ok being home by herself. They work together. And play together. I especially love that our family loves this girl and wants her to be a permanent fixture. And her family feels the same way about Colin. Families joining together and supporting people is amazing.
This seems like it was a long time coming, however it also seems like perfect timing.
I am proud of these two and love them both. I can’t wait to watch what comes next for them.
I took quite a few photos. Of the rehearsal dinner, of the pre-wedding preparations at the church and at the reception. I did not take photos of the ceremony, as I wanted to take it in and enjoy it, being present in the moment at the mass and sacrament of holy matrimony.

I couldn’t help but snap this one with the flower girl (Evie) and the ring bearer (Max). They were so cute and did an amazing job.
I love this feral child. She never ceases to make me laugh.
My boys.
Evie’s hair. She was so excited about being a flower girl. I got done with her hair and she was sort of nervous. She did a great job though, and looked beautiful!
Grandma Nancy made Colin a power truck cake.
Harper told me that she was trying to not look so grouchy all the time and was insanely smiling. It was so hilarious. She is one of the funniest people I know. I had to document the moment. Also- last night Quincy and Saige rode home from the wedding with GG and Papa Larry. Harper stayed at the Airbnb with us, let Evie sleep with her so that she didn’t wake up Wrenley, and then helped me pack up the cars and dump all the trash. She was amazingly helpful and I appreciate it.
A photo of St. Francis of Assisi church where they got married. Interestingly that is the name of the parish we attended here as well!
I will hold this weekend in my heart forever. I loved seeing all my kiddos in one place, I love that I officially gained another daughter. I love that we were allowed to be part of their special day. All of it - love!
