It has been a week.  We kicked off lent. I got 2 “ash photos. “  Both are people I adore, but one is definitely cuter.

Easton dresses like his dad but looks like his mom. Adorable little buddy!
After having these two stay with us last week; this week felt a little less crazy.  Only moderately less.  We loved our time with the girls but we are definitely more used to an older crowd around here.  We have recovered from having to pay attention to what’s going on.  ;)

Evelyn’s spring school photo is adorable.  She looks so grown up.  It’s weird how fast time goes by.

I was given some sunburst platties from a fellow fish lover in town. As opposed to the guppies and mollies that reproduce at rates I cannot seem to keep up with, these have babies one or 2 at a time.  Currently, I have 3 tiny little platty babies and I am over the top excited about!  I know it’s sort of hard to tell, but aren’t these the cutest little tiny fish ever?  I’d be very happy with a tank load of these.  So pretty!

On my way home from Ash Wednesday mass, the sunset was a show stopper.  I stopped more than once to enjoy it.  The girls were both home sick Wednesday, and I was alone.  Something that doesn’t happen that often.  My mind has been consumed with a lot of terrible things that seem to be plaguing our country right now.  Things that I feel in my soul and mourn the loss of more innocent times and feeling like the world isn’t evil.  I have hope that things are starting to crack and crumble and I pray we can rebuild into something better.  Something that I can feel proud of, and happy that my kids and grandkids are living in.
