We do love the 4th of July around here. In what has become a fun tradition for our town, the Pride sponsors a children's bike (or non motorized vehicle) parade. The kids get a kick out of decorating their bikes, strollers and scooters and this morning I understand that there were around 75 kids who took part in the festivities.
Cameron pushed Saige in her stroller. She seemed to have fun! So did Cam, but he won't admit it!
Colin went along with Harper and her scooter. She only made it part of the way before they came and found us for a ride in the van.
But that's ok because she got hugs from grandma for trying!
Riding in a half parade makes a girl thirsty!
The Pride rewards the kids with a hotdog lunch after the parade. These 3 boys are so close, it melts my heart. I love that my kids and their cousins are buds. Nobody has your back like your cousins!
After the parade, we had to set off some fireworks at home, followed by crashing our old neighbor's party. The kids were so excited to get to see Bev and hang our with her! She was equally happy to see them.
Brookside Retirement home is having a big party tonight for the residents. The kids are excited about the big display! Great country, good friends, awesome family, we are very blessed!
side note: no idea what happened to the date stamp on the camera, or how to fix it?? guess that is a little project for Jim after his nap! :)
