Cameron (above) and Colin (below) had their winter formal tonight. All week Cameron told me he didn't have a date and he wasn't going. On Thursday at school, he was double dog dared to ask this friend of his and she said yes. He isn't one for advanced planning!
Colin on the other hand, made a fortune cookie that contained a message asking his girlfriend to the formal. They shopped together so they would have matching outfits. I agreed to pick her up and do her hair while Colin was at his wrestling tournament. A ton of planning went into this evening for them. Except, the wrestling tournament ran long and Colin won, and won, and won so he had to stay until the end to be in the championship match. Which meant he was an hour away when the dance started. I know they eventually made the dance and I felt bad that they were late, but Colin took 2nd place in a 16 school tournament!!! It is hard to feel bad about that reason for their lateness!!! Hopefully they had a good time.
Somehow Colin missed his medal ceremony so we don't have a picture of him on the podium, but we are super proud anyhow! I am actually very proud of both of them!
