Car trauma

Cameron has a little side job as a designated driver. Last night, in exchange for some ball park food, and a ticket to the T-bones game in KC, he offered his amazing services. He tends to go overboard a lot, and he dressed in a 3 piece suit and "chauffered" his clients to the ballgame, in 103 degree heat! He swears he was not hot, and that he was excited that he was named as the fan of the game and won some chili cheese fries.

He also got on the jumbo-tron! He drove his "clients" home safely, and texted me that he was headed home.

About 20 minutes later, he called to say he was in a wreck. He was rear ended and didn't know if he could drive his car home. Jim and I headed out after instructing him to call the police and get insurance information. By the time we got there the police were wrapping things up.

Cameron was cracking me up. He said the officer asked where he had been, and he said the ball game. The officer looked at him and said the ball game in a suit? Cameron said well yes- do you want to see the foul ball I caught? Then the officer went to inspect the damage and since Cameron's trunk was permanently open, he noticed the unicycle. Cameron said he then had to explain that he was getting senior pictures taken! I kind of wish I could hear the story when the officer re-tells it. We tied the trunk shut with Jim's belt, and since the tail lights still worked, the officer allowed us to drive it home.

Cameron's car is a mess. Our auto-body shop guy says its totalled. This was a good little car, so that is disappointing. However, we are beyond thankful that Cameron was not hurt. Cars are just stuff. We can always get more stuff!

And stuff is something that Cameron really likes. The stuff we pulled out was amusing. What kid carries around a Mark Twain bobble head doll, a sombrero, a coconut bra, pool noodles, a plastic chalice and more? Only Cameron!
