Cameron had his final home game on Thursday. I noticed that it was cold out right away. Not a little nip to the air kind of chilly, but an honest to goodness why the heck didn't I bring more clothes, blankets, coats, hot chocolate isn't cutting it kind of evening! Despite the cold, Cameron played really well. I enjoyed watching him get a sack, forcing an interception, and getting several great tackles. His season is almost over, and he is trying to decide if he wants to try jr. high wrestling. He thought it might be a good way to stay in shape for basketball season this winter, but is undecided at this point.
Most importantly, I didn't spend all my money on hot chocolate because nothing takes the chill off the air like a good concession stand hot dog!
This morning, Quincy had a soccer game. If I thought it was cold on Thursday evening, I was mistaken. This morning it was cold. We did wear our heavy coats, and we did take blankets, but we still froze! So much so, that I ended up begging Jim to light the furnace! Cold and I are not friends!
Quincy spent most of the first half of the game playing goalie. She is very good at this position, and did let one ball past her, at which she was pretty upset with herself. Her coach was very good to go over and tell her this did not cause them to lose, but it did tie up the game. She put her game face right back on and didn't let anything else past.
Of course, it is totally acceptable to stand with your hands in your armpits if the ball is on the other side of the field!!
Quincy is very aggressive on the field. She did a great job of listening to the coach and helping get the ball down the field. Her team won again today, and she was very excited with that!
Siage learned tonight that if someone is going to hand out ice cream sandwiches, she wants it to be Cam. He gives out the whole thing rather than a little piece or 2!
