Cam harvested honey. He was extremely happy that he got any honey at all considering he has 2 newly established hives. He did not get as much honey as you sometimes get from a new hive if the weather had been more cooperative. The honey was very good though! He sold a couple of jars, and kept a couple for himself. Colin has enjoyed honey toast every day this week! He is now back to feeding the bees so they will have enough food stored for winter. Fingers crossed that they make it through this winter!
Mallory was installed as the treasurer of the 4-H club. She held this position last year as well.
Preston was excited that they sang to him as one of the October birthdays. When they sing to you, they hand you a sucker. I am not clear on if he was excited about the singing or the sucker! He is one of the recreation leaders. When his community leader asked if they had any recreation planned for the meeting, his response was "forget recreation, my sister made witch hat cookies!" Most of the kids cheered!
Madison has become quite the pintrest junkie. She keeps finding these cute, easy recipes. She had a good time making these witch hat cookies. The 4-H kids loved them too!
Saige discovered the dryer. I love the person who decided to put glass doors on washers and dryers....such good entertainment!
