2014 fishing derby

The city of Overbrook, the Overbrook Rotary, and the Overbrook park and rec hosted the 6th annual children's fishing derby this morning.  Jim had to give a little speech and tell the kids the rules.

Our kids had a great morning of fishing!

Harper didn't catch any but she had a good time hanging out with her daddy!

Quincy caught a couple of nice sized wiper.

Saige caught a couple of tiny fish, and even won a fishing pole for catching the smallest fish....it weighed 2 ounces!

Preston had a couple of nice catches but didn't have his best fisherman's luck today!

My nephew fell in the lake.   Grandma was quick to catch him.  He was easily the biggest catch of the day, but since grandma is too old to fish, it didn't count!  Luckily he was just cold and not hurt!

These 2 are serious fishing buddies.  It makes me smile to see how Colin has taught her all he knows!

Here is Saige with her new small fish prize fishing pole!

It was a super fun morning, from a great annual event!
