My little princess Q is 19 years old today! She is all grown up and I am sad about how fast it happened. But truly, she is such a gift to our family, I could never be actually sad about having her around! I missed her last year when she was in Wichita. I am happy to have her back home. She has spent her summer working and taking a CNA class. I am proud of her for always trying new things, trying to improve her life, and doing good things! She is a hard worker. This summer, she is doing home health care for a couple who live outside of town. She worked for them last summer and over Christmas break as well. She has a heart for helping, and it makes me so proud. Quincy also makes me laugh, as everything becomes a joke when she is around. Not sure if she has an excessive amount of childhood trauma, or just a natural born comedian.
She didn't have big plans for her big day - but we surprised her with a Chinese food and sushi dinner, and Saige made her a strawberry cake. When we were finished eating, she got an extra special activity in honor of her special day = we changed the sand in the pool filter! Wow! She is the luckiest girl alive! In all honesty, I watched a you tube video, it seemed pretty easy, and aside from needing a little help from Jim to get things back together tight, it was pretty easy and didn't take that long! Happy to have that accomplished!
I hope you had a good day, Quincy! I love you! Happy birthday!
