Wrenley is 2!

Wrenley is 2 years old today!   When Madison asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday she went and got her swimsuit.  She doesn’t say much, but she loves to get in the pool!   Madison asked her if she wanted cake?  She said yes!   So they baked her a cake, loaded her swimming gear and headed to Grammy and Poppy’s house for an afternoon of tie dying, swimming and cake eating.  She was a happy girl!   GG is starting to go stir crazy, but hasn’t been released to drive yet, so aunt Mal went and got her so she could teach us some more of her hippy habits.
Tie dying - something about it I absolutely love.  Maybe the messy chaos of it.  Maybe the pretty colors, or the surprise at the end when you finally get to open it and see how it turned out.  I don’t know for sure, but I can tell you 100% I am terrible at it!   Several years ago, I saw these red and blue tye died on white shirts for the 4th.  I have tried for several years to get them to turn out.  A couple years ago, they were pink and teal (no idea why they faded out so much).  Last year, I didn’t rinse enough I think.  When I washed them, we all had lovely purple shirts.   I have been watching you tube videos all week and for added measure, we brought in the original hippy herself!   This year better not fail, or I will just have to give up my aspersions of us all having matching 4th of July shirts.
Ok that took a turn. Sorry.
Wrenley - that is the topic!   Birthday girl.  She makes us laugh - always feral!  She likes getting into things, loves to help.  Loves all the snacks. And is absolutely fearless.  She makes me suck my breath at least once a visit - because she is always doing something crazy!  And she’s silent.  As in, she isn’t talking much, and she just entertains herself - usually with something she’s not supposed to be doing!   She is super smart, and incredibly determined and self sufficient.  She is an amazing gift to our family and we love her to pieces.

I also call her the thousand faces kid- never a doubt what she’s thinking!  I think Mallory did a great job capturing at least a few of the many!

Happy birthday sweet girl!  We love you!
