Start it back up

Gone are the days of lounging around the house, sleeping in, watching Christmas movies and hanging out together.  Yesterday, we started headlong back into activities, winter sports season is in full swing....and today school started back up.
We found ourselves making a very long journey to Sabetha to watch Cameron's 7th grade season opener.  The little kids were pretty well behaved, even though it meant 4 hours total on the road, and then sitting in a gym!
Cam played pretty well.  The team, including Cameron has a long way to go in learning to set up some plays, and playing as a team will definitely need to improve!
Cam (#31 in red) does love to play basketball.  He was disappointed that they did not win, and he wasn't overly pleased with his performance on the court, but I really think it will get better as the season goes on!
I do enjoy a good game of basketball.....it was a fun trip, and if nothing else, I got to catch up a little bit with Jim as we were in a car together for a very long time.  Sometimes, that is a good place to have undivided attention and conversation (if you aren't traveling with Harper it works a bit better!).
We also figured out that the problem with our van was that somebody (I won't mention any names) left the built in VCR on under the back seat.  This was draining the battery and causing all sorts of other problems.  All seems ok with it for now....but we are still van hunting.  We just aren't in as much of a hurry now!  I am happy because I don't buy well under pressure!
Earlier this morning, I was downtown and ran into a woman who had a baby boy around the same time as Saige was born.  I noticed how big this kid looked, and couldn't believe how much he did not look like a baby anymore.  I took these photos this afternoon and was sort of noticing that our baby is looking a little bit on the grown up side too!
She keeps robbing the box of diapers.  She carries the (clean) diapers around the house with her.  She also likes to get her hands on the remote control and torture the kids by changing the channel of whatever they are watching!  Didn't take her long to figure out how to be the pesky little sister!

The library project is now fully underway.  It is also fully funded, so we library boardians (is that a word?) are super excited about watching the progress.  I will be very happy when the project is done and we can see the finished product.  I am a little bit of a visual person, so looking at the plans on paper is not as good as walking through it will be!
