Weekends are for adventures.

We started our our weekend like we do every weekend this time of year.  Friday night lights!  Cameron is doing a really great job of being the mascot and he is enjoying it too!  His marching band also put on a great show!
Colin's team came up just a little bit short of beating Ottawa.  It was a pretty good game.
Saturday Preston had a football game and Colin and Cameron had to work at the Judd ranch female sale.  Colin said they did a little bit of everything during the sale and he took a photo of Cameron driving a skid steer to prove it.   This kind of worries me.
Saturday evening, Jim had KSU tickets for Colin, Cameron, Preston and Quincy to go with him to the game.  It was Quincy's first time getting to go.  She was dressed in purple at 9 in the morning and ready to go.
She had a great time but I heard a lot more stories about the band and about Mrs. Craft who they went to the game with than I did about football!

We hosted the 4-H fall party last evening. We had a bonfire, lots of kids, and our boys made a haunted trail through the woods behind our house.  Colin and Cameron, my nephews and cousin Travis, along with several of the boy's friends dressed up and scared the kids along the trail.  The kids loved it.
After the 4-Hers mostly had gone home, the big boys were playing flash light tag when Cameron comes to the house all covered in what I thought was fake blood and says he had collided with Colin and now Colin wouldn't get up.  I truly thought they were pulling a prank.  But after looking again I realized it wAs actually real blood. Cam had a pretty good gash in his eyebrow.   Colin's friends said he was down and wouldn't get up.   Jim went to see what was going on.  Colin had been knocked out but was awake when Jim got to him.  Jim managed to get him up and Into the house.  That is when Colin started acting odd.  He was confused and didn't know where he was.  We decided taking him to the ER was a good idea.
He ended up with stitches in his lip and they thought he had a mild concussion.  We will be doing the concession protocol steps this week and hoping he recovers quickly.  He is really hoping not to miss his football game next week! Gotta love my boys!
