Welcome 2018!

We had a fun New Year's Eve at home.  Despite the cold weather, we were warm and cozy and all of the girls made it until midnight to welcome 2018.  Midnight is soooo past Mallory's bedtime!

I had to beg for New Years pics from our wayward children.  They were happy to oblige. Madison seemed like she had a fun evening. Colin worked and said it was cold but fun.

Cameron worked at the local bar as a designated driver.  He said that he took a few people home and it went well for the most part but he didn't get home until almost 4:00 am and he said he was cold for an hour after that.  Considering we had mass at 8:30 this morning. for the holy day, he didn't get much sleep at all!

Preston said he had fun at his friend's party but they didn't sleep at all, so he is dragging rump right along with Cameron today!

Quincy....we just never know what she will entertain herself with.  She was sad because we had to cancel her plans of having Landrie come over, due to Harper and Jim being sick.  She ended up entertaining the little girls until midnight where they jumped around saying things like "first twerk of the new year," "first fart of the new year," "first one to trip you in the new year," until I made them go to bed.

Harper was very sick in the afternoon and then she wasn't.  She went from throwing up and miserable, to fine and happy in a matter of a couple hours.  I'm thankful it seems to have been short lived.

Saige was happy to point out that letting Jim control the remote control was a bad idea.  We watched a couple of (really bad) movies and she filled us in on which snacks she likes and which she doesn't.  She honestly talked for 3 solid hours to keep herself awake because she did not want to miss the ball dropping.

We skipped the fanfare this year and hung out at home, but honestly it was a nice evening with my crew.  I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us.
