Holiday weekend

Sunny sent me some actual vacation photos from their trip.  Thank you Sunny!  It looks like they had a lot of fun. Preston told me he really enjoyed it.  I have heard from both Preston and Sunny this weekend. Both have made it to their summer internship locations.  Both have their first days this week and I hope they both have a great summer, learning a lot and getting some good experience for their long term educational goals.  

As for the rest of this weekend, we got some stuff done, did a little relaxing and watched it rain.  And rain.  It was obvious that Maude and Carlos didn’t get enough outdoor play time, and they were pretty crazy inside.  It’s good that they are cute.  

I was able to pick up some more tomato plants at the farmer’s market. I was not able to get them planted since it was so rainy and muddy.  Maybe tomorrow.  I really enjoy the farmer’s market.  It’s a nice little weekly event for our town.  

This Memorial day, I remember those who served, and those who didn’t come home.  Their service and sacrifice is appreciated by me.  

Also appreciated, a much needed day to hang out at home and do a few things.  Sadly, this weekend is now ending.   Back to reality I guess.
