We found some blackberry bushes full of ripe, juicy berries at the end of our driveway last night. The littles want to make blackberry jam, and so they set off to pick! Because we have seen rattlesnakes several times around the rock walls, Jim and I followed along. We kind of got a kick out of Saige's berry picking attire!
Preston brought along a bat....you know for killing rattlers. Thank goodness we didn't see any!
We also do not have enough berries for jam, but the kids did have bellies full of blackberries!
Poor Jack the cat had to take many berry picking breaks and was so tired she had to be carried home!
