Entertainment

From the St. Louis boy....a wonderful time at the City Museum!  I hear they love it there and after several hours were still going strong!

It looks like a ton of fun to me!   The girls now think a trip to St. Louis is a must!

From the Cali boy.....I am hearing lots.  Well, not lots from Cameron, but lots from other people about Cameron.  His ability to meet people is not limited by geography.  He apparently befriended a Universal Studios employee and somehow ended up with VIP passes.    I hear being friends with Cameron comes with perks.
He sent this photo saying his friend had also gotten them VIP photos.  Somehow, I cannot wait to hear this story!
Here on the Homefront, to distract the girls from all of the missing, I did a little farm touring with them!  First stop, Grandma's house.  Baby chicks arrived from the hatchery today!  Quincy got the Delawares she has been foaming at the mouth over!
And there are a lot of Cornish cross broilers.  They are always so cute with their yellow fluffy softness!  We also got some fertilized eggs from grandma so we can try out Quincy's incubator.
From there, we ran over to Landrie's house and got a few more fertilized chicken eggs.  We couldn't resist giving their new bucket calf a few scratches!
Quincy and I took a little longer doing chores than normal this evening.  We were enjoying the babies!  I have a favorite and so does she!  They are all pretty sweet!  Colin helped us with some fence repairs.  It is now my personal mission to build a fence that contain Curley!  Today she busted out (again) and somehow tore a hole in the chicken fence and was trapped in the chicken pen.  Needless to say, we had to repair both the goat fence and the chicken fence. She is a menace!
The peacock situation has me baffled.  The hens come up every evening and we feed them.  We do not know where the cocks are hiding.  The neighbor has stopped by a couple of times to say she sees them. I am guessing they are hiding nearby in the trees.
This evening, we got the incubator out that Quincy got for Christmas.  She has been waiting to try it out.  I refused to try until the weather warmed up a little bit.
The eggs have to be marked with a pencil so you can tell which way they have to be turned.  She has 21 chicken eggs that we will attempt to hatch.  It takes 21 days and she will have to turn them and refill the water daily.  We shall see how this project works out!
