My rednecks

Apparently a dozen or so goats grazing the yard isn't enough of a signal of our redneck societal standing.

Just one more step to making it official, Colin and a couple of his friends spent last evening building a "hot tub!"   That's right....be jealous.  Heated with fire in a metal barrel.  What could possibly go wrong?   Nothing.....nothing could go wrong.  

And to prove it....he has invited a "couple" of friends over to try it out.  Brave or crazy....haven't decided yet.  

If it wasn't enough that Colin built a hot tub out of "recycled materials," he also brought home a hog.  We were on board with his pig purchase, however we did not expect that he would put it in a dog kennel and bring it home in his car!   Yes, he does indeed own a truck.  Except he left it at his job in Pomona and didn't want to go get it.  

It's a cute little Duroc hog.  I think I could easily get attached!  This is Colin's final 4-H hog.  Grow little buddy!  We are still looking for a hog for Quincy as she really wants to show a pig.  There are a couple places we have left to look.  This little dude needs a friend anyway!  

And if all that wasn't enough to convince you, come sit in my living room and watch peahens knock on the front door.  ;).  Honestly, we live the good life.
