Hayashi took a chicken to the fair and it got a blue ribbon! He also made some chocolate chip cookies and they got a blue ribbon as well!
Quincy used one of the chickens she hatched (a speckled Sussex) and participated in chicken showmanship. You are supposed to tell the judge everything you know about chickens.
We are really proud of her. She has studied her chicken parts and pieces and got grand champion junior showmanship!
Her Delaware rooster (Dover) got a purple ribbon and then he took reserve champion over all poultry project! She was pretty excited!

Hayashi helped with washing goats today. Cameron had to work and then had a band event, so we really appreciated him helping!
The kids did a great job with their goats. They got mostly blues with a couple of reds.
I am pleased with how hard they worked and how much fun they seemed to have!
