I have noticed that a lot of the area schools have started, the big kids have abandoned the pool due to activities starting back up, and everyone seems to be in back to school form. But not at our house. We are still going strong on wanting to swim, staying up late, sleeping in a little, enjoying a little late evening bowl of ice cream and generally just enjoying what is left of summer.
Being a summer lover, I feel like I have passed this on to the kids. Mine aren't counting down the days until school starts with anticipation and excitement. Except for Cameron, who has spent the summer working 6-7 days a week outside and says school is easy street!
Giving up the poolside days, ballpark nights, warm sunshine and Popsicle stained fingers never comes easy!
Considering this is how we are starting out our weekend, I am guessing we are all going to be smacked back into reality though!
