Tonight, after many, many years of being dragged to 4-H meetings, Preston was finally able to join 4-H officially. He was so excited! He even made a motion during the meeting (correctly I might add). His motion? He moved that we have an open fire and roast s'mores at the club's fall party! Motion carried!
I am pretty proud of him!
Quincy is participating in dance camp this week. It is a fundraiser for the High School drill team. For a small fee, they teach the younger kids a dance and then they get to perform at halftime of the football game on Friday night. She is just a wee bit wound up about this! After camp, I had a hard time deciding if she was happier about dancing or the snacks!
Cam had a meeting tonight to learn how to close up his bee hive for the winter months. I wish I could have gone to this meeting, as it sounded really interesting. Apparently, it is very common for mice to try to live in the hive in the winter months! Never thought much about that, but it would make a nice home - the bees keep the hive at about 90 degrees by fanning their wings all together, and there is a bunch of awesome honey to eat.....heck the mice might be onto something!
