Harper had her long awaited 3rd birthday today! She got up and told Madison she wanted a Hello Kitty birthday cake. Madison readily agreed to this challenge, and promptly called for backup (thanks grandma!). Harper was pretty excited about the cake - she thought it was awesome!
Harper got to have her party at Going Bonkers today. She took a couple of cousins and her brothers and sister and they had a wonderful time! I worried she would become shy once we were there and not climb on the play land, and so I conned Cam into going so that he could climb with her. This turned out to be nothing to fret about. She played and played and had a great time! We did accidentally do something smart in getting there early....by the time we left, it was getting excessively busy!
We followed up Bonkers with a trip to Harper's favorite restaurant. The kid had a lot of fun, and then ended up wanting to play on the play land at McDonald's too. I nixed this, as it was wet from us actually getting rain last night!
Harper is a real joy to us. She makes us laugh, and amazes us daily with her ability to adapt to whatever situation we throw her into. She never seems to mind being a tag along to her big brothers and sisters, and she tends to easily fit into most places very well. She is very popular among the big sibling's friends! She is definitely discovering her own independence, and I have no doubt that she has the drive and intelligence to do great things in her life. We are so happy that we have our little girl to brighten our lives! We love you Harper! Happy Birthday!
