We started out our Saturday at the pet show. Quincy took one of her peachicks.
Harper took Artie the cat.
Saige took PJ the bearded dragon. They all did well talking to the judge. It was fun.
We scrambled around, got everything taken home, and ran to watch alumni wrestling where Colin was.
We got done in time to watch Cameron march in his last fair parade with the band.
They sounded fantastic.....the tuba section was especially amazing!
After the parade, Quincy sold Ed the goat. She was sad to see him go, he was a sweet baby. She is going with the motto "this year's project buys next year's project." She is already making plans for next year.
Harper sold her goat, Lou as well. She stood in the ring and cried. It was the saddest thing ever. She got a very handsome price for this little goat. She is sad, but when I asked her if she wanted a second year in 4-H she gave me a definite Yes! I am proud of the work the kids put in. I am proud that they earned the prizes and awards they received. I am happy that they willingly help others, and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. They are growing up way too fast for my liking!
There is no doubt that the best part of the fair is the snow cones! And there is no tired like county fair tired! We won't mention the dirt!
