End O’summer

Despite shocking the heck out of the pool, we didn’t get it back to blue.  That didn’t stop the girls from taking one last swim!   We will winterize everything next weekend.   We will get the water back in the spring.  It is sad but with the forecast looking like highs in the 50s and 60s this week, I don’t believe we will be swimming!  Harper spent a lot of time walking around pulling the toys out and feeling sad about the end of summer.  I feel the same, always sad to see Labor Day.  

Jim had to work a little today, but he and the kids managed to burn a bunch of branches that he cut up.  We also used up an abundance of eggs by making breakfast burritos, and for about 10 seconds I managed to have the laundry caught up.   I think we are ready for the new week and cooler temperatures.
