Sometimes ya just need nothing.

We had a weekend of nothingness.  No plans. No work.  No obligations. No nothing.  Which was exactly what we needed.  Jim and I got so much stuff done!   We worked on the garden.  We erected some more snow fence since something ate one of my new raspberry bushes.  We mowed and did yard work. It was delightful.
Madison started a summer job working nights at the ice cream sbop.  So we had Sunday lunch instead of dinner.  The girls have been antsy to swim.  We finally let them today!  Aunt Bubba braved the water with them!  Jim was in yesterday and helped me get the steps set.  He said it “wasn’t that bad” but I was a bit skeptical.  After seeing how much junk the girls kicked up off the bottom, when they went home, I did get in, and cleaned. It took me a solid 10 minutes to work my way in!  The water is “that bad” — cold!   Evelyn didn’t seem to mind it.  Wrenley only lasted a few minutes.   I stayed in long enough to get some cleaning done and then I used my wetness to stay cool while I finished the mowing!  I know we will get there but I think it’s going to be a few more days before the water feels good to me!

Jim and Andrew did some playing with his retirement gift from the city today.  They are like excited children when they have new fishing stuff!

We had just quit for the day when Mallory showed back up out here.  She wanted us to go look at the northern lights that were supposed to be visible tonight.  We looked. We took photos, I am not convinced what we were looking at was northern lights - I mean they were lights in the north but aurora borealis?  Who really knows.

Real or not- doesn’t really matter.  I’m headed to sleep.  It was a great weekend.  This week will be just as crazy at the last couple have been.  I am thinking at this point, if I go to work, I can at least sit down.
