Vibes

A much needed weekend was filled with all the stuff I needed.  A little family time, some outdoor work, some time with my boy, a little swimming and ice cream sundaes on Sunday.  Life doesn’t get much better.  Preston’s car was acting a little off, so Sunny got him a Grayhound ticket so he could some to see her in Springfield for the weekend.  She sent me photos of them visiting the Bass Pro there. Sunny said she lives 2 blocks away from the second largest one.  You know it’s not a visit to a city if you don’t hit up Bass Pro!  Preston said riding the bus wasn’t that bad - he apparently expected worse.  Thanks for the pictures Sunny!

I had to work on Saturday at the liquor store.  Jim took one for the team and went to get fencing supplies and took care of our Sam’s club shopping.  I really appreciated it.  He and I then ran to get groceries and I talked him into taking me to Taco John’s.  I think he actually likes eating there, so I didn’t have to talk very hard.  I am happy all these errands got done. I was sort of tired of creating meals with random things.
Jim and o got a lot of outside work done.  I appreciate his help and am loving having him around for helping me with my projects!   Sunday afternoon, he was cutting brush, and I was weeding the garden.  I was so hot!  I told him I was going in for a drink and when the girls got there I was getting in the pool with them.  We both took a short break, and the girls showed up for Sunday dinner. I put on my suit, and told the girls let’s go swim!  Stepped out the door and I swear the temperature had dropped 20 degrees!  No swimming for Grammy!   I also happened to notice that the goats were out - so Harper got in the pool with the girls and Madison and I got them back in.  By the time we got that done, it started to thunder, so nobody did much swimming!  Luckily, we had ordered pizza and Quincy was getting home with it, so nobody was overly sad about a short swim!

Cameron made his debut as his company basketball coach.  He was not just the coach, but also a player in the company team!  He told me he felt like they would take him more seriously if he got himself one of those official white board clip boards to run his plays on.  I do think it makes him seem very official- right?   Unfortunately, he said his best player tore his Achilles while they were mid tournament.  This corporate summer Olympics thing seems like it is a little rougher than what I thought when he told me about it.  I suggested that perhaps he was getting a little old for full on basketball tournaments.  He said the other guys might be, but he is at peak physical condition.  Or something like that.
I guess after all that fun, it is reasonable to think the weekend would be over.  Back to the grind I guess.
