Band (and people) on the run

This week has been filled with meetings, and events, and dinners and just stuff to run to.  Harper's band had their Band on the Run fundraiser.  Basically, an old fashioned walk-a-thon.  Harper walked, and since I had to be there anyway, I volunteered as a lap counter.  It was a nice night, and I think the kids raised a lot of money to go towards their trip to Nashville in the spring.  Harper does not enjoy this sort of thing.  It is not her idea of a good time to go walk laps, or to leave home for that matter, but she accomplished meeting her next financial goal, so that makes me happy - less out of pocket for momma!  :)

Quincy started a new job.  Her first official job as a CNA after passing her boards and getting her license!  She is working a later in the day shift and said that her first day went well.  I hope it will be a good job for her!

One night this week, I had a meeting where I needed to park the bus, say hey to the people at the house, and jump into the car to run back to town.  It was an important meeting, as we had a midnight deadline to meet, and my engineer was a little tied up with other projects, so we were finishing it last minute.  I started to leave, to realize my phone was ringing.  It was Saige - she was hysterically telling me there was no way she could do her chores, no way because there was a frog in her feed sack!  SHREEEEKKK!  Luckily, Clayton has been coming home with us after school, and he is not afraid of frogs.  He saved me from being late, and saved Saige's life from the terrible, mean, biting and possibly murderous frog!
