Today is the 24th anniversary of my 29th birthday. I had a decent day. Jim gave me Reese’s, I got some nice things from the girls - including cat socks and my mom gave me a full size pink Christmas tree. Score!
Mallory offered to bring dinner from town, but I said I was making lasagna. That spurred her and Madison and the girls to come for dinner.
AND CAKE!!! Wren was stoked about cake and sang loudly to me! Madison had the cake delivered via her Walmart delivery. Might I suggest that she is addicted?
I can’t complain, this was a good day!
This summer, I grabbed a sad looking pink splash off a clearance table. I went to work to find it had flowers. I had no clue it would do that! A birthday surprise!
Getting older is weird. When I think in my head about things, I don’t feel like an old lady, but then you go to dinner and they automatically give you the senior discount. Or you look in the mirror and wonder who the old person is looking back at you. And it got here in a big damn hurry too.
Overwhelmingly though, I am blessed. I have the best family and friends. I even got serenaded by a bus load of 5-6 graders. That’s always fun. And anyway it’s just a number right?
