Friday on Thursday (the best kind)

There is no school tomorrow.  That means no bus route for me.  I still have to go into my office, but it is nice to think I can do morning chores in the daylight rather than the dark.  Feels like Friday - close enough!
We had to help Quincy out and take her car back into the shop for more work.  We grabbed the chance to both have Harper practice driving, and grab an ice cream with the girls.
On the way, with Harper driving, I decided to take a few photos.   I started by wanting to take a picture of the bean harvest which seems to have started today. It always interests me how there is no plant left - just dust and dirt left in the path of where the combines just went. Each time I saw a combine close enough  to the road, I was too slow on the camera.  I did get some pretty shots of the sunset though. I will always and forever love me a good sunset. Of course, I also love where we live.  It’s just pretty out there - especially this time of the year.

Last night, Harper’s band had a steak dinner fundraiser and bake sale for their Nashville trip this spring.  Harper had to work.  Jim and I ate at the dinner, and then ran a couple of errands. While I was out, I happened to find some Bluey pajamas on a clearance sale.  Wrenley Loves Bluey!   Of course they didn’t have anything in Evelyn’s size on clearance, but we did find something for her as well.  We delivered the goods.  Wrenley was elated.  Then we took the girls down to Weg’s for ice cream. Since Madison works there, the girls think they own the place.   I think Weg likes them too.  They do have good ice cream.

Of course, this girls’ bit the dust.  But she didn’t get upset, she just decided to finish up Harper’s!  I love having a few minutes to do something fun with these nuggets.  Made my whole day!

Well, that and this - Colin sent me so gram photos!  Looks like “baby Dale” is growing.  Colin said they think he weighs 3 pounds 9 ounces.  He’s growing and getting strong so he can come visit his Grammy!

Colin said Spencer was happy she passed her glucose test so she can continue to have ice cream.  Good job Spencer - our grandkids all need ice cream!
