Posters, pig hair, baking and band camp

We have finally started moving on the 4-H projects. Mallory and Madison really put grandma's cricut machine to work! Their posters are mostly finished. Colin is having grandma help him today with his sport fishing poster. Colin is also going to get up before dawn to help with pig shaving. All the recipes are decided upon. Since Cameron will not be showing his pig, his friend Calvin has asked for help with showing some goats. Cam is pretty excited about this new opportunity! Plus, we have been trying to talk daddy into getting a couple of goats to help us clean the waterways at our 'farm.' We would like a new challenge right? Goats are not quite as good as a little Holstein heifer, but in my humble opinion a little cuter than pigs!

Mallory and Madison are also in marching band this year, and they have band camp this week to prepare for the fair parades. They probably wouldn't admit it, but they are excited! There is a $1000 reward being offered for the group in the parades with the greatest entertainment value, so they have a lot of work to do!
I just hope we can all hold it together and not melt! I bet we all appreciate our air conditioner by Sunday!
