This week Preston and Quincy are attending Vacation Bible School at the Methodist church where they attended preschool. Mallory and Madison are helping out for community service hours toward their confirmation. Preston has been having an absolute awesome time! Quincy - she is having a great time too, but I had to laugh because she needed some money for the "golden bucket" they are saving money for "Hate-Me". We have now straightened this little misunderstanding out and she understands that the money is in fact going to help children in a hospital in Haiti.
Mallory and Madison are also helping with a library book sale this week. They are quickly running out of time to get the rest of their community service hours done for their confirmation in September. They were very excited that they were given a 'group' at VBS and are getting to be very hands on with the kids....they thought that they would be doing dishes, serving snacks and perhaps cleaning something! They will probably be less excited when they get to spend hours upon hours cleaning, sorting and stacking books!
We are still worried that Cam's hog is not going to make weight next week, but we are now less stressed about it because we have found a buyer. This is good news because I did not know what I was going to do with another hog! We can only eat so much pork, and more specifically we can only afford to process one hog!
My grandma did not get good news from her cancer doctor today. We will have to wait until Friday's appointment to see what her options are and see what she decides to do. She had handled her treatment so well, and when she was so strong through chemo and radiation and seemed to be getting back to her old self, I really thought she had it licked. We are all just praying that there are some good options available for her and that she can stay strong.
