Sad news and other stuff

Last night, Jim and Cam went out to check on the bees. They discovered that the bees had swarmed. Basically, this means that something has happened to cause them to leave the hive, usually because their queen left. To say that Cam was disappointed, and felt horrible is a severe understatement. He was devastated. We know that this just happens sometimes. The best beekeepers have had it happen. We told him he has two choices, either learn from it and try again, or give up. He wants to try again. We will be talking to his mentor soon, we have been told that there are some bees in the area that need to be removed and relocated. His mentor may help him re-establish his hive. We are all hoping to learn from this experience!
This morning, Quincy asked me for a 'snake braid.' I do not really know what a snake braid would look like, but this is what we came up with. She was very proud, and spent an enormous amount of time in front of the mirror admiring her amazing look! Then she begged me to take her picture!

Once in a while, when I take her picture, I am amazed by how much she looks like my cousin, Jessica!
Of course, if you take any photos of anything at all, your highness has to be in on the action! For the record, I brushed her hair this morning!

Between the braiding, and the photography session, Saige fell asleep! There is something so sweet about a sleeping baby!
