Madison graduated

Several weeks ago, Madison was notified that she would graduate with her certified dietary management certificate and could walk in the JCCC graduation ceremony.   She said "it's no big deal....I am not done with school and don't think I will walk."   I think my head literally snapped around and I said oh yes.  Yes you are going to attend this graduation and celebrate this  step on your journey.  She thought I was crazy but said she would do it if we could just not make a big deal out of it.

So we didn't.  We didn't make a big deal out of it.  But seriously, We couldn't be prouder of her. She graduated.  She was also a Dean's Honor Scholar!

She overcame her fear of driving in Kansas City.  She made new friends.  She kicked butt in her classes.  She became a certified dietary manager.  We are absolutely proud and thrilled with this small step!

Ok, so maybe not everyone was thrilled with her step!

In the fall, she will start into the bakery and pastry program.  This is her dream.  This is what she wants to do.  And when she accomplishes it, we will celebrate that bigger step!

For today though, congratulations Madison!   We love you and can't wait to watch you make your dreams a reality!
