Preston had a track meet at Rossville today. I was thrilled to drive the bus and sit outside on such a beautiful day! Preston did triple jump, high jump, and the 200 meter run. He did not place, but he did agree it was a gorgeous day. I definitely got my intake of sun...Might even be a touch burnt.
The kids were asking why there was a ring around the sun. We googled it and found that it is caused from ice crystals in the high cirrus clouds, and is called a 22 degree halo. It was very neat to see. A little science taught by a bus driver at a track meet never hurt anyone right? What the heck did we do before cell phones and google?
