recap

Ball season has kept us from having an evening at home pretty much all summer.  Which is really the way we like it, because the kids love playing, and we love watching!  Saige played a game on Thursday evening in Auburn.  She is still saying she beat the 2nd baseman to the base.  (She didn't).  Her team won, and she said she was glad and has professed a great dislike for Auburn.  One thing our kids do well is hold a grudge.  (I think they learned this from their father!)

Quincy played Friday evening in Pomona.  Of her 6 times at bat, she was hit by pitch 4 times.  She never even moves or flinches.  It is crazy how often she gets hit.  She says it is a fine way to get on base.  :)  Her team won the first game and lost the second.  Her team has moments where they look awesome.  And then within the same inning can also look like they have no idea what to do with the ball, or how to catch.  It is interesting.  Quincy is enjoying it so that is the main thing that matters.

Saturday afternoon, the girls were having one of their fight-y kind of days.  I know they sometimes have too much together time and get annoyed with each other.  I told them I would take them to the pool....and that they should swim with their friends and not together - take a break.  The ENTIRE time we were at the pool they were like this.  Happy, giggling, swimming together, playing games together.  Getting along.  It was the strangest thing ever.  So much for taking a break!
