Happy 4th!

This was a definite different 4th than what we usually celebrate.  We skipped a lot of our traditions in order to avoid crowds.   Preston and Quincy worked at the vineyard.  Cameron is still quarantined.  Colin and Spencer stayed in Wichita.
We had a small bbq lunch here at home.  We skipped the bike parade and town lunch.  We did meander back in to the fairboard’s firework stand for a few things, but when we got there we noticed that people must have taken the “celebrate at home” idea to heart.  They were all but wiped out.  We still managed to get some stuff to blow up.
Mallory invited us all over for dinner.  We had a lot of fun hanging out.  I told the kids we would go watch the town fireworks show if we could get a spot to park and sit beside our car.   We went early and we were able to get a good spot.  Madison and Andrew parked on one side and my cousin and aunt parked on the other.  The kids were happy to see their cousins and at least have a little bit of tradition not ruined.  One thing I will say, our town puts on a very good show.  I’m happy we got to see it!   I love the 4th!  Happy birthday America!
