Preston is 16!

 

Today is Preston’s 16th birthday.  He did not have a super awesome day since he chose to stay up messing around with his friends until 5 this morning!  He was tired and dragging all day long!  I do think he had a fun time with his friends!  

I asked Preston what he wanted for his birthday and he said the only thing he wanted was to go to the DMV and turn in his hours so he could upgrade his driver’s license!  Well that was at least something we could afford!  We found out that you don’t need an appointment for this, and so we took care of it.   He is happy to have fewer restrictions, and the ability to have a non-sibling passenger!   I also took him shopping and got him some new jeans - although he was significantly less excited about that than he was about driving.  

What happens if you take the girls birthday shopping?  They want to buy the dog a Halloween costume.  Carlos does not appreciate their efforts.  He was even more upset when we suggested getting Olive a momma shark costume and having Carlos be the baby.  He thinks he is a big dog!  Harper also made him a sweater, which he does like.  He’s been very cold!   Poor little dog! 

I do have to add that I am thankful Preston is in our family.  He is a great helper, hugely responsible, super smart and funny kid.  He is a little outnumbered by girls in the house, but he handles them!  We are very proud and love you lots kid!
