Sunday Fun bag

Today we had people everywhere!   Mallory spent the day at some Disney theme parks.  I admit, I will always have a special place in my heart for Disneyworld, and I wish I was in Florida with her!  At least today, tomorrow when she’s in teacher conferences, I will be happy I’m not there!

Last weekend, when it was Quincy’s birthday, she said all she wanted was to go to World’s of Fun.   Colin was here, and he agreed to take her, but it was pouring down rain.  He is in a class this week in Topeka, so he said he would come back early and take anyone who wanted to go.  He even talked Cameron into driving up!  Harper immediately said she hates that place and she was staying home!

Turns out, Saige doesn’t love the roller coasters quite as much as she thought she would.  Colin said they took the chicken exit a few more times than he cared to talk about.  They all got to ride enough to say they had fun!

I offered to have a fun day with Harper, but she wasn’t sure what kind of a fun day she wanted to have.  Everything I suggested was quickly dismissed as lame.  She did want to try the New Mexican food place in Overbrook though!  We were not disappointed!   Since she had nothing better to do, we went ahead and took care of grocery shopping.  Harper also went to the pet store and picked out a few new fish and a snail she named Jeffrey.  She’s a pretty easy to please kid!

At the end of the day, we all met in Harveyville for Quincy’s final game.  She started off the game with a monster hit for a triple.  Her team had a rough night with a lot of errors.   They lost by 2 in a really hard fought game.  The thing about this that was so hard, was that these girls have really bonded this season. They had a lot of success, a lot of fun, and they all just really like playing ball.  Quincy played amazingly, and I am so proud of her.   Ball season is now officially over for the summer.
