Tball pics

Saige had an evening game tonight.  When we drove by the bank on the way in, it said 103.   She didn't seem to mind being hot.  She likes playing a lot!
She had a good hit off the t tonight.  Since it was hot she got both a snack and a slushy from Caseys!  Bonus night!
Preston was supposed to have the late game in Auburn tonight.  We drove over after Saige's game and they got all warmed up, took the field, and lightening stuck.   We needed a little rain, or so I was told by the farmers who signed my paycheck today!

Quiet

Cameron had a great time in New York, however he said that there were more people than he prefers.  He saw everything I can think to see in NY in 3 days.   He said one of the kids he traveled with kept track and that in the 9 day trip they had walked 65 miles.
He is safely home, complete with random stories, new friends, awesome experiences and a better sense of some of his country's history.
We Have heard from Colin a couple of times since the kids left for camp.  He said he hasn't misplaced any of his campers, and that all of the kids seem to be having a great time.
It sure is quiet without them here!  I miss them!  My chaos.
Saige and Harper have been missing them as well.  They have tried to replace them with kittens, but it is just not the same!
They had to go to my office this morning.  They had a great time decorating the sidewalk out front.
Cameron was supposed to work today, but after he got there, they didn't have anything for him to do.  So he stopped by and drew on the sidewalks too!  Tonight, I had a township meeting and the board members asked me if I called the police because of the graffiti!

And they're off

Quincy and Preston were super excited to go to 4-H camp at Rock Springs Ranch. They left this morning with Colin, who is going as a camp counselor.  I am hoping he manages to get fully awake and dressed when caring for other people's children!
Cameron finished the DC part of his trip and is now on to New York.
Last night they saw the Lion King on Broadway among other things.  Their itinerary for the weekend made me dizzy and tired.  ;)   I can't wait until he gets home to see all his photos and hear about his trip!
For now, these two are enjoying being the center of the universe!

3 game night

Saige had a t-ball game last night in Carbondale, followed by Preston having the late game also in Carbondale.

Preston had a great game and a couple of really nice hits.  He also stole home again!  He was pretty excited.  His team ended up winning!

Quincy also had a game, at home.  Jim had city council, but luckily, Mallory had the day off and agreed to help me.

Since Quincy's game was earlier, and at home, Mallory took her.  Except, the game before Quincy apparently was filled with controversy and police ended up being called.  All told, after all the drama, Quincy's game ended up starting an hour late. Then they came back from being down and tied it up, so in addition to starting late, they also finished late.  For those who know Mallory well, her being up past 9 pm is almost unheard of.  She was way out of her comfort zone!  She came home a bit grumpy and proclaimed that from now on she has dibs on going to Preston's games!  ;)

Quincy was apparently put in during the last inning to pitch and had 3 up and 3 down for the win.

Traveling boy

We haven't heard a whole lot from the traveler.  He did text me a few photos.  I know his sponsor is trying hard to get these kids to enjoy their time and learn.  They are focusing on putting their phones down and looking around them more.  I think it is good.  Of course, Cameron's phone is also his camera, so I am happy he didn't throw it into the Potomac or something!   He did tell me he is having a great time.
We would expect Cameron to act like Cameron.
Today they are spending the day on Capitol Hill.  They are meeting with their senators and representatives.    I can only hope that Cameron behaves better than the day he met with the governor!

Randomness

Saturday was the final day of the fishing clinic.  Quincy was having a great time until she saw me take her photo.  She apparently didn't feel it necessary.  In the  background, you can see the boys all gathered around the town's retired dentist.  He was showing his enormous collection of lures!  The clinic was amAzing and the kids really did have a great time.  I am very glad I listened to Jim and signed them up.  I hope they do it again!
Preston had a game last night and I finally had a chance to sit down and watch a whole game of his.   He played great!  He played right field and 3rd base.  He also had some awesome at bats.  He doesn't like these photos, because it was a strike, but the next pitch he ripped a monster to center field.  He got an RBI and he ended up stealing home.   Stealing home was a goal he had for the night.  I was happy that Cameron called him safe.  I worried about Cameron umpiring the game might cause a fight!
I will also add that Cameron did a great job umpiring.  He is good at explaining to the kids what the call is and maybe teaching them some stuff.
I love this kitty.  He is the sweetest little boy.
Cameron left for his CWF trip today.  He was up late packing!
He did send a text saying he had safely arrived in Washington DC where he will spend this week.  This trip is truly a trip of a lifetime.  The older kids were saying they wished they were going back!  He will also be spending 3 days in New York before he comes back.  I hope he has a great trip!

Saige's first game

Saige had her first t-ball game this morning.   She did awesome!
She has been waiting for a couple weeks now to wear her shirt!
Snacks - the greatest moment of t-ball!  It was a lot of fun!
