Today is Cam's 11th birthday. He had 4 things on his wish list: a smoker, wood for the smoker, charcoal, and a roll of duct tape. As you can see, we did get him his very own smoker, wood for it, and charcoal....but I skipped the duct tape - I was nervous as to why he wanted it and didn't really feel like waking up to being taped to the bed or something!
Colin helped him put the smoker together after school, they kept Harper out of the way by stashing her in the box!
Cam made ribs and a pork roast on the smoker. I will say that the pork roast was absolutely the best one I have ever eaten. And the ribs? To die for! He did an awesome job. I am not exaggerating when I say this boy has a real talent with cooking meats!

I finally talked him out of sitting in the yard since the stuff needed 2 hours to finish cooking, and it was getting pretty chilly!
Cam has a real "thing" for whipped topping, and that is what he wanted on his chocolate cake! It was good!

Cam is also an awesome student, and a wonderful cook (especially with meat and dishes containing sugar). He is a great brother - and is totally in love with his baby sister! Often times I hear Quincy refer to him as 'her best buddy' which melts my heart. He is passionate about sports and is a die hard KSU fan. He is especially fond of basketball. He has a silly heart, but is always thinking about stuff. His point of view is often very surprising, and insightful. We are very, very blessed to have him as our son, and brother! We love you Cam and we are very proud of you!
