Today we had the long awaited birthday party for Evie. She is turning 4. So wild how fast the last 4 years have gone! To say that this kid was excited would be a major understatement. She was on cloud 9. We have been planning, buying unicorn stuff, worrying about a piñata and demanding that people sing “we don’t talk about Bruno” instead of the birthday song for weeks and weeks. I’m not sure why my grandkid hates the birthday song, but we were told NOT to sing it! She is so funny! And opinionated. And not afraid to speak her mind. I love her so much! She is a true gift to our lives.
This evening, the girls went to the zoo lights with Mallory. They had a ton of fun. It was a good day. Early to bed for everyone tonight.
